No problems. I've been a few times since the riots and everything was fine.

South on 95 then onto 395 and ramp right into the parking lot.

I'd say things are a little bit more dangerous now than in years past.

I'd still go to a game, but I'd go to the stadium and that's it. Especially for a night game.

Considering that 95% of the homicides are black on black crime and typically related to the drug trade - I think you will be just fine.

I think you're overthinking this. Canton, Fells Points, all of the downtown scene, etc. is as safe as anywhere else. Just avoid West Baltimore or anywhere else that has blue police street lights at night...unless you want to buy crack or a prostitute or something..common sense.

perfectly stated.

easiest thing to tell someone visiting camden yards who is not familiar with b-more: (1) don't go west of greene street, and (2) stay south of baltimore street.

I was at games before the riots, I was at the riot game, I was at the 1st game after the riots and have been to games since. Not a single problem at any of them

I think you should be fine. Unless the locals get restless and decide to rampage the stadium then it won't be safe anymore. Things are always fine, until they are not. Then it's too late.

Your probably safe.
However, Baltimore is a disgrace. Don't dump one dollar into that POS City.

Hey now!

Baltimore has some problems -- some serious ones -- but so do many other cities. Baltimore is a great city with a proud history and hopefully a future every bit as bright. If they can make progress on addressing those problems, one day Baltimore will be a great city again.

Going to an Os game is no problem.

I have spent a large part of my life around there. I spent many days with my Dad at 33rd street. Great memories. The City itself did show some signs of progress. Areas like Federal Hill, Fells Point and such were attracting young professionals who revitalized those areas. If you remember those areas were burnt out row homes 30 years ago. Now some go for as much as a million dollars. Decent people will not live in a shooting gallery. Good people will cut their loses and move out. Leaving the trash behind.

BTW, i have fished in the nasty Inner Harbor water many a day. I caught strippers on light tackle all throughout the Inner Harbor. Those were good times. Also, enjoyed Sundays at Bay Cafe eating shrimp salad.

Usually right about 300 murders a year, so nothing unusual. Right on target. Plus, it is a proven fact violent crime increases in summer months.

Yup. Did very well rehabbing houses in canton. Average ths there is about $300-350k now. Bay Cafe got sold a couple years back. Can't remember the name now.

If anyone needs a restaurant suggestion for Baltimore: Parts & Labor. Best meal I've ever had at any restaurant ANYWHERE. Be sure to make reservations if you're more than a party of 2. Vegetarians will not enjoy this restaurant -- it has an on-site butchery.
