Default I have a Mystery!

Tennis balls! They keep appearing in my yard! There's no tennis courts anywhere nearby, only an elementary school. But my dog does love to play with them but the only time she leaves our property is on a leash. We just came back from a walk and there was another new tennis ball in the yard?

He she is a few weeks ago, you can also see the winter damage in the yard after 128" of snowfall:

Wanna make a bet? I had to keep the area clear so the dog could "go"! Countless passes with the snow thrower did a number on the lawn this year.

To me, it seems strange to see you, of all people, to call Bullshit on someone. Maybe he had a big campfire there, or, maybe a pipe rack?

Your tennis balls may be coming from the school. When I was in elementary, we played baseball with tennis balls and plastic bats. That way, nobody got hurt.

I'm leaning to someone from the school tossing in the tennis balls on their way by. The field and playground is behind the school.
I counted 8 1/2 tennis balls( one I cut in half while mowing the lawn, I could only find one half)

My 9 year old son and his buddies go through so many tennis balls a week that it is common for him to give and receive new ones for birthday gifts. He puts one in his backpack everyday for school.
They play "wall ball" on any flat surface they can find, play baseball with them and call it the "money ball" when batting, peg in the street etc etc.
He puts his initials on each ball when a new sleeve is opened and prob loses 3 a week to gutters, roofs and neighbors fences.
I'm willing to bet this is the answer to your mystery.

I just finished reading a thread called "practical jokes you've pulled off" or something like that. Post #81 was by a guy who throws tennis balls in his neighbor's yard, even though there aren't any tennis courts around. Too bad he lives in Fl.

Had the same problem with golf balls yrs ago, kept finding them way out back in the yard, no golf courses around. Come to find out the uphill derelect kid was wacking them down over the field onto my property. Once I found out I got my ole louisville slugger out from my high school days and started to return them.

Just got home from work and I found two more brand new tennis balls! The kids weren't at school yet, might be a faculty member!

unreal, last summer I must have found 10 tennis balls in my back yard, never bought a one of them.
my lab kept bringing them to me as she made her rounds.

no schools nearby or neighbors with tennis addictions

could be a serial tennis ball planter in the NE
