Had the marina put my boat in a work rack over the weekend and while I was under it I saw a dog and another member headed to the dog "area" as I was laying on my back.

It was a pit bull unleashed and I got to thinking as it was squating about 30 feet away that I was in no position to recover if that dog bolted toward me so I eased out from under the boat and got to my feet.

I do not trust that breed careless what anyone says.

Got bit by a neighbors pit mix last spring. I never feared any dog. Now I do. I will kill it if it ever comes back on my property.

Co - worker at the office just got tangled with one a couple weekends ago when a pit mix charged and mauled his dog. He tried to intervene and the pit punctured the he!! out of his arms and backs of his legs.

Boy his arms were all stitched up and looked pretty darn bad.

Where is a good ol fashion box cutter when you need one.

I don't know what that boy is, but it is definately full grown, after seeing what happened to a neighbors dog by 2 pits, I make it a point to know it's not going to happen to my dog when I'm walking him.

how about a 12" screwdriver in the belt loop if you're walking an iffy route? Can't be charged with carrying, and 12" beats 1" all day long. pretty ease to point into an eye, too. Takes the mojo right out of those perps.
