Well I have seen them sell puppies in front of grocery stores so... maybe should have marketed it as a (abused) pet?

3rd-world marketplace practice...surprised the guy had a pronounceable name.

We had someone locally pull a similar stunt, but with a 6-foot protected-species sturgeon (fresh water), but his name was utterly unpronounceable...the court stenographer put ("phonetic") after his name each time it came up, as it was spelled differently on every arrest and court document. Convicted and fined...was later caught unlicensed fishing again on Lake Champlain, and told authorities he was targeting tuna this time. They were Hmongs, known for poaching, both in hunting and fishing, and gross littering in both the woods and on the water.

Champlain did have tuna, according to fossil records from when it was still part of the Atlantic, but this guy was 75 million years too late.

When you live in a place where you see a 60 year old fat hairy man walking (actually twirling his purse) down the road in a bright pink bikini -- did you really think that *this* would surprise you?

A few years ago some homeless types took a shark on the Miami metromover to a couple of fish markets, trying to sell it.

Provincetown, MA, must be a clone. Same-sex couples (and threesomes) overtly engage in gross-out behavior in public, something rarely seen being done by heterosexuals, anywhere. Must just be for the shock value. Hard to explain to young children only there for a whale-watch...

That was my random destination for a solo motorcycle trip, and it coincided with "lesbian weekend"...I couldn't get out of there fast enough. For the most part, not exactly attractive people, but fat, masculine butches not wearing enough clothing. Hyannis, with all its dopers and smack-heads was preferable for the second night, then headed to northern Maine and Quebec.
