Why wouldn't there be a season in 2016 if there isn't one in 2015. No harvest (2015) then there couldn't be to many fish caught to close it in 2016

The process will be repeated in 2016 to determine if there will be a season in South Atlantic Federal waters in 2016.

As a concerned environmentalist we employ a fillet and release technique when we accidentally catch ARS.

I just read the whole report. Its such bull the way when one study by the state says we took less and there study says we took more they always went with their study based on some stupid reasoning. Like the memory of fishermen after two weeks is not dependable. They are only checking with a handful of fishermen yet extrerpulating that to mean all licensed fishermen caught red snapper. We all know you have to have a boat and go out to at least 80 feet to find red snapper. They count jetty and beach, and river fishermen in their math as catching red snapper. I really hate the section where they say fishermen who reported not catching any red snapper are lying so they don't include those reports at all in the final calculation.

They could still cancel the 2016 if their "science" concludes that the dead discards in 2015 exceeded the allowable catch.
