Default What's your Motivation

I have always had something in my head that I used as motivation to get up in the morning get dressed and go to work each day no matter how tired I am. With retirement getting closer I use pictures of my shore house and dream of the day that Ill be able to spend more time there. So what is currently your motivation for dealing with life as it is now?

I have always felt the need to accomplish something on a daily basis so I kind of know what you mean

I love what I do, I enjoy the people I work with...but the bay house and retiring to a big boat also helps.

I seldom dread work.

If I do nothing I feel guilty, so I too feel the need to accomplish things daily.

Anxiety, if I'm not working I get anxious. It is hard for me to turn its off, I was always responsible and have 80+ families that count on me so I need to get up and go.

People on welfare. They depend on ALL of us working Americans to get up in the morning so they don't go hungry or go without a roof over their head.

Two things:

1. I love to win, be the best, most successful etc...
2. I am self made, I am that guy who does it his way. I am working to financially secure my kids as well....that is what I say to myself.

I get out of bed everyday because of work ethic. I have a pretty good life but right now I'm not really "living" for any one part of it. Surround yourself with people you love that love you back, be honest with yourself and do your best at everything worth doing.

Thanks for the post. I couldn't think of a reason to get up and was becoming suicidal. I feel much better knowing that I am helping my fellow man.

Providing a better life for the people that depend on me. Also, I am partners in a small company, and seeing that company be successful means a great deal to me. I'm sure I could still be motivated if I was working for the man, but it would probably be harder some days.
