Lots of legal eagles around here, I think statue of limitations on driving offenses is 2 years, so you fall within that, I think? Maybe? Anyway, $25, I'm afraid I'm paying it. Prob not worth any potential future harassment

Was it sent "certified mail" or "return receipt"?

One would think something like that would be sent certified, otherwise how are you or they to know that it wasn't lost in the mail ( pun intended ) or delivered to the wrong address and just thrown away. Hmmm

The only ticket I've received in the mail was for a Patriots game!
Here in Mass if you don't pay they start adding late fees and if that doesn't work the next time your license or registration is due they won't renew it until all fines are paid. I would contest it and see if they will eliminate or at least reduce the fine.

Is there a picture of your car and is it obvious your car is running the toll? (an electronic sign saying toll unpaid or something)? If so I would pay it.

Did you have your sun pass in the car? I think it should work for peach pass lanes. I probably get far more use out of my peach pass for the tolls in fla than I ever use it in ATL, and I live in GA.

Peach Pass and SunPass are linked NOW....they weren't back in 2013. In fact they just came online together (along with the NC Quikpass) late last year.

If its $25, and you used the lane, I would pay it and move on. Hiring Schmaltz, or putting it on ignore and getting your license suspended, will cost you significantly more.

I had a Peach Pass and a Sunpass for years and have cancelled my Peach Pass account. When I drive in FL, I get the Sunpass discount. I've used the Sunpass on the 85 express lanes here and have had no problems.

Just pay it. You've already spent $25 thinking and posting about it.

In 2013 I got a letter from the state of RI that I had an outstanding ticket from 1985, I had to pay it before Mass let me renew my license.. the ticket was for an Improperly permitted truck that belonged to the company I worked for back then.. I gave the ticket to company and that was the last I heard of it until 2013.... so I say just pay it now and be done with it....

I dont know if i used it or not your toll roads are not very clearly marked. The ticket says 944 on a Wednesday morning that would be a very unusual time for me to be in downtown atlanta and since it was a year and a half ago i really cant recall.

Kinda relevant. Both my parents apparently had unpaid parking tickets in NY in the 90's about 5 years ago they got there licence suspended IN GEORGIA bc the paperwork somehow resurfaced. I'm just glad they weren't taken to jail. It was a real mess involving lawyers.

Only two toll roads existed in GA at that time....and only one now (at the moment).

The first one would have been GA 400....and there is no way you would have missed a 16 lane toll booth with ORT (open road tolling) on the two inside lanes in both directions. It was dismantled last year.

The more likely one is the 85 Express Lanes...unlike the 95 Express Lanes in Miami, the lanes here do not have the plastic barricades....although the entrance and exit areas from the lanes are well marked, you can enter or exit the lanes in between - although there are some pretty substantial rumble strips.

The wheels of government don't move particularly fast here.....hence the fact that it took over 18 months to find you. I don't think the statute of limitations has run though.....

I got one a couple of years ago from a "Florida" agency with a Ga address. There's some kind of scam. The pic was of a Jetta. I've never owned a jetta.
