I don't think that Continental will bring full value at auction. For one the rear right tail light looks to be aftermarket. Real afishionados will also note that the vinyl top was treated with an aftermarket dulling agent and not the 8% vinegar solution that the manufacturer recommended in 1980.

Those were my thoughts as well. I also think an aftermarket rearview mirror that extends is necessary given the state of the art HVAC system.

Theres a crutch in the back seat and he probably has a perpetually empty gas can and two or three appropriate signs describing what he's willing to do for food to go with them.

Thats a funny pic.

I am guessing that it is a late 60's glass master or something similar, probably being used as a planter in the front yard.

How wrong you are - the front yard is that SUV parked in front of that thing.

Judging by the dent in the right rear fender I'd say he waited a little too long for the mirror extension!

The wood stove comment reminded me of something. At a local country store/pool hall/beer joint, there was a fellow that prided himself on his own shinanigans. You always knew to keep your eyes on him. Well one afternoon he stopped by the store and was bragging about the steal he made on a nice wood stove. All us guys go out and admire this thing, saying nice stove and all that stuff.

Just so happens he parked his truck next to the woodpile for the store. Two of us had the same idea almost instantly. While "Jimmy" went back to shoot some pool and consume a beverage, we loaded that bad boy with wood, installed the flue pipe, poured in some diesel fuel, added a wad of burning paper, opened the drafts wide, shut the door and laughed like HE!! as the smoke and flames shot forth.

We go back inside and order a beer. 'bout 10 minutes later another local come in laughing like he!!, he asks Jimmy if he's test driving a wood stove. Jimmy says "its a nice one ain't it! The guy says yeah and so is the fire. Jimmy runs outside , starts cussing like he!!, talking about payback and such, hops in the truck and hauls a$$ down the road fire and all. Dang I wish I'd had a camera.

Dang Tom, why did you go and sell your truck?

I mean Mike tells me you like to save a buck, who doesn't, but this is going a little too far!
