legalizing prostitution? They can tax it , control it. Keep it to certain areas.

I like it. What's the main objection anyway? I honestly do not see an issue.

Ever fly into Vegas from a major city on a Friday night? Half the plane are hookers flying in for the weekend.

I don't even think the effects of pot qualify for the word "high" cause the effects kind of suck.

It's about time we stopped trying to ban a weed that is so easy to grow.

Prostitution , oh.

Eyes tired from this thing.

I guess if it's going to happen anyway like it does take it away from the criminals and pimps.

Why don't we have a " war on prostitution" ? Of coarse it should be legal , maybe we could finally get into some of those $1,000 girls at a discount .

Sort of like buying a car versus leasing one. If you're going to want a new model frequently, probably better to just lease. Only difference is if you buy one and lease another you might have trouble with the first.

From what I've heard, and I'll certainly defer to Nevadans, in Las Vegas it's not legal and there are more problems than in other parts of Nevada where it is legal. Still true, or was it ever?

I'd buy a house and stock it with a few women, have a hot tub, pool a nice bar area, each room has a full nice private bath and the girls rent the rooms on a weekly/monthly basis. I provide muscle (hired out), heat, hot water, AC, etc.

I'm not involved in this world in any capacity. Yet, I've thought about the issue from the perspective of humanitarian / businessman / independent, and the whole thing troubles me.

Just as an FYI, 10 years ago I was having discussions regarding marijuana legalization, and thought it would crumble state by state. As soon as the states realized that they were leaving tax dollars they would make changes...

That said, I feel the same way about prostitution.

I don't understand a government that criminalizes a person for using potentially their only asset to survive. Further, without harming anyone, their commerce has been outlawed. But, the real sting for me is that they don't provide any solutions. It's not like they provide these people with a way to support themselves. So, the struggle to survive continues but unfortunately, they and their patrons, are criminals. It makes the whole industry unsafe and sleazy. It breeds pimps and thugs and an underworld economy that could be taxed and made safer for those that choose the profession.

I don't have all the answers and I understand some of the opposing thoughts regarding legalization. Yet, I welcome an open discussion on the issue.

And, before you think I have some first hand knowledge of the issue, I assure you I don't. I just see it as a problem and would like to see a reasonable solution to those that decide this is their best option.

As an aside, I know that some states tried to shut down seekingarangement.com. It's a website where people agree on dating terms and borders on def. of prostitution. Yet, it's my understanding, it's totally legal and will tell you how blurred the line is between dating and an "arrangement".

I do have issues with those that think it's immoral but don't spend their time trying to help these people find another option.

From what I know right now, I say legalize it. Tax it... Help those in the industry be safe and productive.

Hooker Neutrality - All the same cost

And if the government gets involved they will all look like Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Feinstein, Hilary Clinton, and Debbie Wasserman-Shultz

I'm a firm believer that very few people will actually start smoking it because it suddenly becomes legal, just like very few that smoke it think about it being illegal or not when they spark up;?
