Cool Case Coolie Test

The guys at Case Coolie sent me a sample to try out and give a review and I finally had a day to do it.

The Case Coolie is a product designed to hold a case of beer (30 pack) and keep the beer "...cold for 10+ hours without ice." It has straps for carrying over your shoulder and a handle to carry like a briefcase.

Test Atmosphere - Indoors 70 degrees
Time Tested - 10 hours

The actual product feels like it is put together well. It has a neoprene type soft feel and has an aluminum liner inside. I did the test with (2) 12 packs as 30 packs of beer are rare down here and a 24 pack is too long.

I have to say, I was pretty skeptical that this thing would work. My wife was also pretty skeptical but we loaded the (2) 12 packs of cold bud light into the Case Coolie at 7:15 this morning and went about our day.

At 5:15 pm I opened the velcro door to the Case Coolie and to my amazement the beer was surprisingly still very cold to the touch. I popped the lid and had a sip; again was surprised by how cold it was - not nearly ice cold but still cold. Over the ten hour period the beer definitely warmed up quite a bit from when I first put it in but was cold enough to drink which is good enough for me.

Obviously, test results will likely vary in the hot sun and when you are constantly in an out of the Case Coolie grabbing beer but I see this thing working well for the average 4-6 hour day at the beach or to the sandbar if you don't want to mess with ice. I also think the Case Coolie would be great with bottled water and soft drinks.

It folds down flat and can be stuffed in a corner which is another plus.

Overall, I am pretty surprised at how well the Case Coolie did at retaining the beer temp over 10 hours! You can pick one up at
