Very scary stuff, apparently after takeoff an engine failed.

Prayers for the dead and injured.

Crazy, saw that on the news this morning. They said that was a taxi that got clipped by the wing, wonder if they survived? I doubt they saw it coming.

The wing actually clips the taxi too. That taxi driver would probably be dead had he been going 2 MPH faster.

A detail from the picture. I believe a pilot is supposed to turn in the direction of he good engine, not as shown. This pilot made the loss of power worse by turning into the bad engine.

Almost everyone survived. Death toll is only 2 or 3 (two different reports).

Amazing that anybody survived that one unless it somehow leveled out before it hit.

I doubt that is the issue here. The airplane lost thrust and was stalled. The vid shows it entering a spin.

You bank 5 degrees into the good engine. He didn't turn in to the dead engine. He was below VMC and that was the beginning of the spin. Left wing stalled first. The plane should have been able to fly on one engine. Several factors that may have affected that ability include an overloaded aircraft and a CG beyond the aft operational limit.

Looks like left engine prop is feathered. Left wing stalled, roll resulted.

How far from the runway did this happen? If close he might not have had many options.

How about the plane banked left to avoid hitting the apartment buildings?
