As far as I know, recent sea service, physical, drug card, and cpr. Oh, and pay the fee.

I just looked at my license today as well. I have not used it in several years and may never earn money with it again. I am heavily leaning towards the continuation purpose only license so I still have it but don't have to give them another couple hundred bucks between all the fees and TWIC crap. Shame they have made it so difficult.

Continuity Renewal. It places the license in an inactive status. You can't sail under it. When you go to renew, you then show all the required credentials.

Exactly. You pay a small fee and then your license is on hold with no more renewals. If you want to use it you go through the typical renewal process. Never let the license go, this is the best bet to stop the insanity if your not using it.

I just renewed mine. You no longer need TWIC as long as you already have a TWIC card, no CPR (CPR is only required for your first credential) and it was only $95. All you need for renewal is Application for Renewal, Physical, Sea Service, and of course a piss test.
