Default How to buy gold/silver

I've been kicking around the idea of buying some gold and/or silver, but I'll be damned if I'm going to pay 8.5% sales tax on it. How do you buy it without taking a loss right off the bat?

APMEX or Bullion Direct are who I have used....sometimes even Ebay if you can find a deal.

Edit...I think Apmex may be out of OK. Bullion Direct is Texas, I believe.

whatever you do, don't believe the weight. When you get it, ship it to me and I will verify if the weight is correct, or not.

I am better at weighing gold than silver, FYI.

I pay with check to avoid any CC fees...

Only problem with going through companies is there is record of what you have purchased should you not want that to be around.

Awesome, thanks!

Give me your address. I'm going to send you a trial run for proof of concept, with something a little less valuable first.
