Default Superbowl ad and ads in general

I did not find the Nationwide ad about accidents at home bothersome at all. I would have rather seen more humorous, light advertising during the show but c'est la vie. What I am offended by and pretty damn sick of is the Erection medication commercials. And the dry vagina commercials. IDGAF!!!! More importantly my 12 year old does not need to see the chit and I don't need to talk to him about old men so sick of screwing their wives that they needs medication to do so!!! When does it end? oh yeah, Fiat sucks

I'm just surprised to see so many people talking about the commercials at all. I thought everyone had a dvr these days and skipped the commercials like I do. I paused the tv for 45-60 minutes before the game and forwarded through all of them, plus halftime, except my time ran out in the fourth quarter and I got stuck watching a few.

Half the damn commercials were for TV shows or movies.

I don't know. The most memorable ones for me were the Nissan (cat's cradle/racing) and Toyota (daughter going to military) ones which were about being a dad. Those were really well done.

That f'ing Nationwide one with the child fatalities was just bad.

How much did they cost this year? How in the world are tablet games able to afford it?

I didn't find many of the commercials very memorable. One that stood out as pretty good was the Dodge ad with the 100 year old people. I liked how it ended with the Challenger doing a classic smokey burnout.

I didn't like the Jeep ad set to Woody Guthrie's This Land song. That song was written for and about the United States and is almost like a national anthem. Linking a bunch of images of other countries to that song felt very wrong.

And not watch the game live?!!? Now that is just silly talk. For Modern Family sure, but good god, not for sporting events.

I'm sorry I didn't care for the nationwide one. Not the time or place. Also, while a little humerous to me, I can see your point on the Viagra/Fiat one. Most of these are getting really bad.

Will say I think I liked the Nissan one the best. Everyone seemed to love the budwiser one but I think that got played out last year for me.

I felt EXACTLY the same way. Driving my Wrangler to work this morning was a little less enjoyable.

The Snickers Brady Bunch commercial was pretty good. Everything else, for the past few years...meh.

Shouldn't be that surprised really. Super bowl is notorious for the groundbreaking commercials. Companies pay a lot of money to brainwash us.

I'm glad it affected you the same way. I've known that song all my life. I remember my mom singing it in the house when I was a little boy. I even remember her showing me on the map where the New York Island was, and the Redwood Forests, and talking about everything in between.

I can picture some twenty five year old communications-major-recent grad at an ad agency thinking "I know, I heard this cool song once about the land...wouldn't it be great to show all the the pretty countries in the world to make people feel great about this land and how nice it is to drive our little jeep..."

Idiot.

I hope someone is relieved of their command after the Nationwide commercial. Not only that… but the TV station can approve or deny the request to run it.

Its SUCH BS that last year they wouldn't run this one….. but let Nationwide run one talking about kids deaths.
