Default Krystal Burgers

I know there are those who like em, those who don't like em, those who drive by a Krystal Burger every day, and those who never heard of them. But, we love em and there isn't one anywhere even close. My son and his girlfriend said they wanted to get us lunch and watch the GB game. They made a 3 hour round trip to pick up 48 burgers today. To the right in the crock pot is my world famous clam chowder. Needless to say, we are stuffed. Wonder what the rich folks are eating today.

I can put a hurting on them burgers. We don't have any close by. When I was a kid in south fl we had royal castle burgers that were awesome. Little square burgers with grilled onions kept in a steamer. Make you hit your momma in the eye jaw for some !! Thanks a lot, now I'm starving !

The last time I ate Krystals I was in college, spinning drunk and in desperate need of something to put in my stomach to hopefully alleviate the crushing hangover I knew was coming… so about 15 Krystals and a liter of water and some gatorade later I finally went to sleep. I woke up the next morning with no headache but a weird "fluttery" feeling in my stomach. Like the little monster from ALIEN was trying to punch his way out… about an hour later it started. Mt. Shitsuvius erupted for the next three days. It was so bad I could barely leave the bathroom to eat or drink anything. Imodium, Pepto, nothing would even pretend to make it stop. When I could finally venture out I went straight to the campus infirmary where they promptly gave me 2 IVs of fluid to help for dehydration and some sort of prescription anti diarrhea concoction and told me to eat yogurt for 2 weeks.

I have not touched a Krystal since that day. My bunghole hurts just thinking out them.

I was in Tallahassee with a buddy about 40 years ago and we ran across a Krystal Burger. Never heard of them before, being from S FL. Since it was lunch time, we decide to check it out. Order our food (a burger each, fries and sodas) and go sit down, open the bag and pull out this postage stamp on a bun - WHAT THE... We thought it was a joke at first.

I guess we should have had a clue as the burgers were like 10 cents each. Dumbass 15 year olds.

Love those things, my insides can only handle them every once in a while, and I can't eat just a couple.

They are great to eat on the road too. Easy to handle one handed.

I think I'll go out for some - here is the search for the closest one in Ohio.

Suggested Routes

I-80 W 561.94 miles

8 hrs 53 mins / 8 hrs 59 mins based on current traffic

Almost 100 miles closer than the nearest ones in TN and NC.

Man, that's makin' me hungry. I get a sack full of them every now and then. When I use to work at a local laboratory, if we had volunteered to work on Saturday, someone would volunteer to pick up enough for everyone coming in that morning. You HAVE to order them with mayo.

If I need a fart generator, I eat at Krystal. I order the cheese double and remove the middle layer of bread. Yummmmm.

I don't have any Krystals near me in S FL but I do know there is one on I95 just north of Jacksonville. I drive north once a year and spend the FL part of the drive looking forward to my Krystal burgers. Finally I'm there and order 4 of them, they taste the same as always, delicious. An hour later my stomach is churning, oh why did I do that, what is in those things. Ugh. The following year I'm heading north looking forward to my Krystal burgers

Not really comparable. Your buy these by like the dozen. And eat a dozen. These are little sort of slider type things. Addictive... and flatulent... and ... addictive...

Closest one to me is in Greenville I believe. I try and stay away from them.

They will never win a hamburger award, they are the original postage stamp burgers, buy em by the bagful, is their slogan. Nobody eats a half dozen 5 guys burgers but it's pretty common at Krystal. The original slider
