Peddler will be just about your only option for a decent steak in actual Boone. If you venture to Blowing Rock or Banner Elk you will have a few more options but they will also be a little more fancy.

Banner Elk
Gamekeeper

Blowing Rock
Best Cellar

My favorite although this time of year the sunset is a little too early for dinner.

Default Boone sounded familiar to me

Not food, but well made furniture.

We did a quick road trip to buy some chairs and a table. We didn't stay the night just had road food and left.
