There is a song called Moments To Remember. It was originally done by the Four Lads around 1955. It has been redone by others but the best version IMO is the version done by The Vogues in 1969. I like both versions but love the version done by The Vogues.

The Four Lads - 1955

The Vogues 1969

The instrumentation and harmonies are so much better IMO on the Vogues version.

Johnny Cash - Hurt. Trent Reznor said that Johnny did his song better than he did.

That cover of Stairway to Heaven is one of the very best Classic Rock covers ever done! In my top 5 list!

Many around Johnny Cash did not want that video to be released . . . It makes me sad but at the same time it is one of the greatest performances

Thanks for posting!

Hallelujah "Jackie Evancho / Peter Hollens"
The vocals are spectacular. The video however was lame. It needed some fast cars, booty shaking and/or explosions.

Reznor talks about how he wrote Hurt at a very dark, low point in his life. He has called Hurt his "most intimate song."

And then he saw the video of Johnny Cash doing Hurt. Reznor said afterward, "The song was no longer mine."

Yeah, that is how powerful Johnny Cash's version of Hurt is.

My votes:

Johnny Cash "Hurt"

Janes Addiction "Sympathy for the Devil":

When you listen to Type O Negative's version of "Cinnamon Girl" you will realize just how much of a sissy neil young truly is:

All good ones...

I think The Faces remake of "I'm Loosing You" by the Temptations is right up there (yes its old).

http://youtu.be/rld0KDcan_w

Remember that before MTV, Internet, etc most people thought that Rod Stewart was a black soul singer.

I wonder what ever happened to The Faces guitar player??
