I like Sublime's rendition of Scarlet Bagonias.

Here is one for fun. If you don't know who Steel Panther is you have to check them out, they are a "spoof" band that makes fun of the 80's pop metal. They also have other people come on stage to either "flash" the audience or sing a song.

Here is Sebastian Bach (Skid Row) nailing Journey's "Don't stop believing". The dude has the pipes. For a real laugh go to the 4:45 minute mark and listen to the Steel Panther guitarist give his singer crap for not sounding like SB.

Here's another, this one with no vocals at all...

The amazing Jeff Beck covering The Beatles A Day in a Life live. No studio tricks, no click-tracks, no pick, tone galore, and a pure clinic on how to use the whammy properly.

Tal Wilkenfeld on bass as well.

A Day in a Life

Wendy Ho did a heck of a job with "poop noodle". The original version was by Donna Summer I believe.

I like Snoop's version of "Gin and Juice" better, but this one is fun. Love playing it while out on the water or cutting the grass.

Same thing with Staind's cover of Tool's "Sober" (acoustic).

The best version of Simple Man. Yep, even better than Skynyrd.

"On this date in 1975, Elton John topped the Billboard charts with his cover of the Beatles’ classic “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.” It still stands as the only cover of a Beatles song to reach #1 on any chart. Credited for background vocals on Sir Elton’s version of the song is one “Dr. Winston O’Boogie,” which is of course a pseudonym made up by another British musical superstar." (John Lennon)

Darius did a good job with this song and has a great video to go along with it but OCMS is by far my favorite version
Them singing this song makes me think of Katie Sunshine. Katie Sunshine makes me tingle.

I remember several years back on one of the music award shows Elton John did a duet of Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me with George Micheal.
Elton's vocals almost blew George off the stage. This was during G.M.'s hay day and I remember thinking what a huge disparity in talent there was between those two.

This one came to mind immediately. Also have to consider George Thorogood's cover of one bourbon, one scotch, one beer. A song whose lyrics seems to resonate with the THT faithful!
