Default Savannah Restaurant Recommendations

My wife and I are going to spend a long weekend in Savannah, staying at a new place on the boardwalk. We've been to the usual suspects (Pink House, Alligator Soul, etc.), but would like to find something new. If I don't have to get in the car, that would be even better!

Any recommendations?

Also, any must-see's or must-do's?

Thanks!

Man I went to a steak house there a few weeks ago that was off the chain.
It was an old building. They were full so we ate in the basement where the bar was located.

Try Rocks On The River. It is in the Bohemian hotel on River Street. The food is excellent. I have to second Vinny's for pizza. If you like Tapas style go to Jazzed.

if you're into the bar scene it's hard to beat the rooftop atmosphere there.

5 miles from downtown is Tubby Tank House in Thunderbolt. Very fresh seafood and on most weekends a band plays outside on the front porch.

Ya know anyone within walking distance of Tubbys??

I know Conrad closed the original Crystal beer parlor. Is the new one as good? Does it still have that great back bar?

There's always Mrs. Wilkes.

ANY trip from downtown to T'Bolt MUST include a drive through the "garden of good and evil"..Bonaventure cemetery. Been going there since the 60's. Little did I know it would become a national celebrity!

sweet potatoes is exceptional. Always a stop for my family. Comfort food and cheap. Don't go during lunch rush.

I listen to the bands at Tubby's from my porch.

I wish i could give a downtown recommendation. The problem is I have not had a dinner near River Street in 10 years.

Bonaventure is worth a stroll.

EDIT: Elizabeth's on 37th Street is awesome. It's a few miles from downtown but worth a visit if you want very very good food.
