Default Costa Del Mar glasses on deal??????

Last time I needed glasses there was somebody that could get sunglasses on a smokin' deal. Is there anybody that can beat prices on these glasses? Can't remember who I got them from on this site. I need some new ones and I'm just looking for a deal.

Ive had good luck sending old pairs back to costa. Good... until last year they updated the frames and completely changed the way the fathoms fit me. I always liked there customer service I just cant find a pair that fit quite as good.

Unfortunately, I've had very poor customer service from Costa and will not buy their products.

Several years ago my wife bought me a pair for my birthday. I had lost a lens in the surf not long after I got them, I was playing in the surf with my (then) young daughter. I was laying in the surf near the shore and I got hit in the face with a wave - the lens popped out. I'm not talking pounding surf here, I was with my 4 year old daughter.... We looked for a long time trying to find that lens, but it was gone.

I mailed my sunglasses off to Costa for a repair, was told that a lost lens was not covered under warranty under any circumstances and if I wanted a new lens I had to pay for the lens replacement. Since the sunglasses were new, I opted to pay to have the lens replaced.

I mailed the sunglasses with delivery confirmation - several weeks later I call - no sunglasses from me!! I copied the signed delivery confirmation and sent it off to them showing the sunglasses were delivered to them in Edgewater .

Several weeks later, Costa said they couldn’t find them, don't know where they are.....

I"m i the middle of the glaring summer with an old beat Rayban’s someone left on the boat......

I told them I wanted a new pair of sunglasses to replace the one’s they lost.... they lost the delivery confirmation......

This goes on for another couple of weeks and I finally got really pissed and ended up talking to someone of authority – and got a new pair of sunglasses to resolve the issue.

It should not have been that hard.....

That was several years ago and several pairs of sunglasses ago.

So, ask me about Costa’s?? Naw.... I”ll pass, thanks though.

best deals on Costa's I've ever seen is Ebay.

you can get them brand new, "buy now" deal, and they are considerably cheaper.

I just sent a pair of Costa's in for repair. I have had a pair of croakies on them for several years and a month ago I took them off. The rubber on the temples peeled off in the croakies. Thought I might as well send them in and see if they would repair them cheaply. I bought them in 2000 and they fit me really well.

Long story shot. I got them back last week. They DIDN"T repair them. They DID send me a brand new pair with the 580 lenses that weren't even available back when I bought them. And they only charged me the $11.95 repair/shipping charge. So I got to use the sunglasses for 14 years and then for twelve bucks they gave me a new and even better pair.

THAT is customer service. No phone calls. No emails back and forth. They just took care of it.

Just sent mine back that had delaminating lenses and rubber around the frames. They sent me brand new ones. Didn't charge me anything, not even the 11.99. A little strange, but hey, I'll take it

Try Sunclouds. Made by Smith, under $50, a great warranty and nice styles/selections. I have 3 pair and wear them far more than the Costas given to me.

I haven't found anything that works as well as those glass 580 lenses in a Costa. If someone knows of a less expensive brand that has similar qualities please share.

Make friends with an eye doctor. I have 5 pairs of costas and I have gotten them all thru a fishing buddy who is an eye doctor. He gives them to me at his cost which on most models is around 50% off retail.

I sent two pairs in last month for repairs. One pair had a cracked lens from being out in pretty cold temps and then being a dummy and dropping them 2-3 inches on the counter. The other had the rubber on the bridge coming off. Both pairs back to me for 11.95 each. New frames from the delaminating pair and new lenses on the other pair. Round trip three weeks.

I usually surf ebay for mine, though I have a bought a pair or two in local stores.

I won't buy costas anymore. I'll spare the details but hey also seem a little inept in that they "thought they returned" my glasses yet couldn't give me a tracking number for 2 weeks yet multilevel people were calling and emailing me for my "repair response"
