Default Dropping AT&T U-Verse, what internet carrier should I go with?

I did 3 years of the cable/cable internet and am now ready to drop it all- too buch BS, and I son't watch any cable or news programming. Netflix can keep me entertained just fine for now.

Question is: I pay $50 for phone/internet (we only talk on cell phones, so this is internet only- who should I go through for my internet that will be cheaper and have the same service? I have never had a down day with AT&T, the service and speed is great, I just tire of their billing nonsense from month to month. They charge $5.00 more every month until you call them out on it, 3 years of this just got tiresome.

All input appreciated!
