I'm sure a few of you have seen this, however it is truly a blatant show of where things are not only heading but where we are. The question is how to fix it??

You are aware that over 50% of all "Americans" ...I use that term very loosely, are receiving some kind of govt aid...correct!

Until that # changes, this country will continue to decline just like Greece, Spain, the UK and others. Unless the voting rights are changed in this country, things will only get worse.

Please don't buy into all the giddiness going on at "Fox News" because the Republicans had a Hugh night. Thier all politicians, and untill the PEOPLE take this country back it will only get worse.

I think there should be some type of time limit on welfare and like programs. I have no idea what those time limits should be, but giving people money for their whole life is not helping them advance. They are becoming complacent.

Clinton had a 2 year welfare to work program where you got benefits, child care, training and all for 2 years. by then, you better have found a job, cause your benefits ended. dont know what happened to that, but it worked at the time.

Those in power intend to keep themselves there.if giving out freebies helps accomplish that,
That's what I see continuing to happen.

50%?

More like high 90's my friend.

Remember, the mortgage deduction is little more than a government program designed to "aid" us in buying a home. Child care tax credit is a government program designed to "aid" us in rearing children. The retirement account deduction is a government program designed to "aid" us in saving for retirement.

All of them are little more than government aid programs, no matter how hard we try to spin it the other way by saying "but I'm just keeping my own money!" so we don't all feel like government aid recipients.

That is exactly why it is my opinion that if you are on any form of govt asst you cannot be allowed to vote. Way too much of a conflict of interest. These days votes are worth a lot of money!!!! Went that correlation goes away, so do 99% of the power hungry politicians who couldn't give a rats ass about this country.

Garett....I think our two worlds are closer than you think!

Did you take a single itemized tax deduction this year? Do you plan to next year?

Sorry Ronn...just read your entire post.

Guess I should have clarified my position better.

You are absolutely correct, all those programs are meant to buy votes.

These below are what I am referring to...

1. Welfare.
2 Amnesty
3. Illegal in this country being allowed to vote.
4. Social Security, should be privatized!

I am legal in this country and can't vote. How are the illegals doing it?

I am one of the few people qualified to vote using Ronn's guidelines and yet I'm disqualified from doing so.

No Taxation Without Representation.

Time for some tea.

How is keeping more of the money that an individual has EARNED deemed a "government" assistance program? I guess surrendering the maximum would be the only way to be "assistance" free.

thats wrong...

tax deductions allow one to keep more money the individual has earned by working, etc..

aid programs allow one to keep more money SOMEONE ELSE has earned
