I guess that's why people have kids, to torture them.

I am forever trying to trip up my kids and playing pranks on them but I don;t think I'd ever try this. It just borders a little too much on being cruel especially after the trick or treating experience we had this year. It was freezing and everyone else wanted to pack it in after about 10 houses. My 5 y/o daughter begged to stay out. I agreed to keep at it until she filled up her bucket. She was so grateful. She must have thanked me for staying out with her at least a dozen times while we were freezing.

The kids on the video that forgive their parents are the best.

Lighten up Francis. If this is the worst part of their childhood, they are extremely fortunate. Nobody is going to be permanently scarred over the candy prank.

I'll tell ya - joke or not - if my kids acted the way that a few of those did they wouldn't see candy again until they were out of the house.

Ditto, and one of the reasons I decided early on parenting wasn't for me.

I'm going to have to bring my old signature back.
