It was probably the millions of dollars spent on the anti amendment ads than divine intervention due to prayer

Geez Ronn.....I guess the voters are all Nazi's!

Unfortunately I believe it's only a matter of time before it's legalized. Every generation is more and more acceptable to it and more and more are users....it's inevitable that the demographics will continue to slide towards acceptance and it will become legal. I hate the thought of it being legal but because I'm so sure it will that I bought MJNA stock.

I have to say I am very surprised. Both left and right big money lobbyist were behind this amendment.

We had no real choices for Gov. both were horrible choices.. As far as Amendment 2 it written poorly.

I don't care if they want to try and legalize it BUT don't try to trick the voters... I believe most people that have a medical need for weed can get it with a doctors prescription.

So....less choice is better?

If someone has cancer or whatever and want to smoke some weed, how does that affect you?

I guess big gov't telling you what to do with your lives is what FL residents want.

Then change the law. People that need weed due to medical issues, Im pretty sure they can get it...

I dis not say I was against legalizing it. I am against this poorly written law..BIG DIFFERENCE.

I have never done any drugs so excuse my non knowing self..

Yes, the people have spoken!

58% of Florida voters support medical marijuana. This is a larger percentage of voters than the ones who supported any of our last...six governors? Somewhere around six.

Marijuana today is far more popular than our president was at his peak- the 2008 election.

Marijuana is supported by more Floridians than either of our two US senators.

I believe you have to go back to Reagan's 1984 victory to find something or someone that Floridians are more united on.

Yes, I would say my fellow Floridians have spoken and we strongly support freedom.

I hope none of the people who voted against this get cancer. My mother tried to get some pot in CT years ago and could not. I don't know if it could have helped with her horrible suffering.

I favor legalization of marijuana, but I voted no because the amendment was very poorly written.
From CNN.COM

Total Yes No
18-29: 14% 79% 21%

30-44: 19% 65% 35%

45-64: 42% 60% 40%

65 and older: 25% 37% 63%

65 and older were the only group to vote against amendment 2.

Thanks for posting this, I was wondering how the age groups voted.

They try again in 5 years it will pass with ease.

I don't think anyone in the state is actually against medical marijuana. That would be silly. What people were against was the way #2 was written with all of its loopholes and clauses. If the vote was for medical use I would have voted yes. What we got was a rec use amendment concealing itself as a medical use amendment with all kinds of ways for a certain group of people to get filthy rich with nothing the government could do to change it. If they were really concerned about cancer patients suffrage they would have worded it differently. They got greedy, the law didn't pass. This was about money pure and simple.

The "Lord" is the one who created the product and hence the demand. He is the Pablo Escobar of weed. He is also the Pablo Escobar of cocaine. He also created Pablo Escobar.
