You have to be pretty dumb to attack a man with an axe when everyone knows and can see he has a gun handy.

And, yet, in neither case did the officers who were actually attacked shoot the ax-wielder.

Supports the accepted wisdom that you shouldn't allow someone with an edged weapon to get within 21' of you. Just not enough time to react if they're closer

Actually due to advances in strengthening and HGH use many agencies have now raised that distance to 30ft according to some of my brothers.

Crazy chit right there.
