Question Flying to Europe

Would you fly to Europe on a non essential trip right now? I am thinking I won't fly anywhere I can't drive back from, just in case flights get restricted.

We won't even restrict flights from Africa - what makes you think they will restrict Europe .....

I would not be too concerned

There are very very few flights from Africa to the US direct. Almost NONE from west Africa. There are TONS to Paris, Brussels Madrid.....

Personally I'm not paranoid but I'd hold off internationally.

The reason I ask: we are preparing to exhibit in a very large trade show in Chicago. I wonder if the traffic at the show will be reduced. I have associates that are planning on attending from Europe, but it isn't mission critical if they do. Will companies begin to eliminate nonessential travel - like attending a trade show?

I wouldn't fly anywhere right now unless I had to.

Do you usually fly to places for no reason and you are now halting this practice?

I was supposed to fly Dulles to Heathrow this Sunday. Trip got cancelled for other reasons, didn't hurt my feelings any.

Yes I do, especially with trolls who manipulate the meaning of someone's post. And by the way, it is Mr. Dude to you.

I bet you're a joy to be around.... On the bright side you'll never develop laugh line wrinkles.

Let me dumb it down for you. A trip I take voluntarily (vacation, familiy visit, etc) is one I DO NOT HAVE TO TAKE. A business trip, a trip to see a dying relative, etc.. Those are trips I take out of necessity rather than just because.

Got it now?

I got it the first time...but seeing as you ignored the obvious lightheartedness in my post...

So you'd chance getting Ebola for work but not to go on vacation?

I'd be the other way around.

Your fault for not using the official sarcasm font. If it is in plain font, it is taken as a smart ass comment. Ask Ronn, he'll tell you.
