Sorta serious, I have been flipping through the channels and have decided that it is impossible to restore or run a restoration shop without a TV crew and a show on History, Discovery or Velocity.

There is way more drama, creativity and general kookiness in marine restorations than all these guys shops.

What say you? Would you watch that show?

I was thinking there was talk of some shows like you mention, one shop in the Northeast and one near Lake Havasu?

How could anyone ever make a deadline building a boat? And in my experience, when they don't make it, it's not near as dramatic. Its usually a late afternoon phone call:

Me: "Hey is my boat ready yet? It's been a few weeks"

Them: "Nope...maybe next week? Give me a call then."

Two weeks later its done.

Point being no boat is ever finished when stated. Even mine, when I'm working on it.

There's no drama in a known condition. Noone would believe a boat fixer is worrying about a boat not being finished. They might worry about being out of Miller light, but not when a boat gets finished.

For one thing it would need to be censored too much and who wants to see an old shop repairing boats just not that exciting

They can put a camera facing the street and film the characters walking by your shop. That could be a show in itself.
