Default Colt AR6720 on sale - Palmetto Arms

If you are looking for an AR, I saw a Colt 6720 for $699 at Palmetto State Armory. Seems like a solid deal. Sorry, can't provide a link from work.

During the craze they were around $2k

The 6720 has a light barrel which is banned in MD. Heavy barrels are OK

Just curious, why would the light barrel be banned and a heavy barrel be OK?

Can anybody explain?

Thanks!

because Maryland politicians are more afraid of light barrels than heavy barrels. They think light barrels have minds of their own and will sneak out at night and kill innocent children. Much like that "thing that goes up".

They have also banned any AR15 with a grenade launcher and those with folding (not collapsible) stocks. Oh, and those that say Colt on them - they are really dangerous.

btw - if is a caliber other than 5.56 or is piston-operated, none of this matters, they are not banned

Why you ask ? Please don't get me started
