Default Accurate Pliers

I've got an older pair of Accurate Piranah AP-8 I haven't used in about 6-7 years.
I think they are 8-9 years old and have had a broken jaw for those 6-7 years..
Went looking for replacement jaws ( need a pair for my kid who mates for me) new ones not available for this older pair
Called Accurate and they have a buy back deal.
Ship old pair and they ship out a brand new pair for $50.
My question.
Anyone have & using a newer pair of Accurates & are
these newer ones any better than the older ones ???
The older ones looked nice, but bent very easy.
I use Van Stall's and am not buying a pair of those for my kid.
Thanks in advance.

The buyback program sounds great. I have the old ones, and bought a pair for a good friend, and both are disintegrating near the tips. Perhaps they've adjusted the alloy to help them stand up better to the disimilar metals associated with the jaws and attachment screws. Too much money for pliers that come apart.
