Bloody idiot. Bet he won't do that again.

Nothing like a big splash to get a bit of shark interest up. They love the splashing of dogs in our bays and harbours too. Probably the same in your neck of the woods too. We always say if your going to let your dog swim in our canals and bays you should make sure there is a good sized hook in the collar or otherwise it can be such a waste. Cats are another matter but I'd certainly make sure there is a hook in place with them

He was very lucky it wasn't a Bull shark as a Navy diver lost an arm and a bit else in Sydney Harbour not too long ago.

Cheers

Still remember the shark teeth marks in the chine on our boat ....

PS I do love dogs and the hook suggestion has stopped a lot of people swimming their dogs in our canals!

If I lived in Australia, the only water I would be in is the shower. A guy just got snatched off a boat by a croc recently. Now a Great White in the harbor? Way too much shit that wants to eat you.

His comment at the end just about sums up that experience.

Right at the 1 minute mark the shark seems to teleport from the top right of the screen to the bottom left.

Regardless of this video's authenticity, you don't cliff dive down under without a chainsaw on your person.

If that was me, I would be the first person since Jesus to walk (well, actually run) on water.

No worries. The velocity of the feces leaving my anus would be enough to jet propel me safely to the nearest land!

We hooked up a great white fishing from a small panga of off San Jorge Island (Mexico) a few years back. Didn't even know he was hooked up; he just came right up to the surface next to the panga and was nearly as long. Something about that nice, toothy great white grin! Bumped the panga a time or two, then threw his head and cut the mono line, and went on about his fishy ways.

And to think I used to swim with the sea lions off of San Jorge... never again.

Peteroc317, they can be found from WA across the Southern regions past SA Vic and up the NSW and Qld coast so yes they certainly are in Sydney Harbour.

Where I am in Qld Gold Coast with more canals than Venice we have lots and lot of Bull Sharks too. In the last years they have taken a couple of people who insisted on swimming in the canals.

The most recent was a women who fell into the Nerang River, that feeds water into our canals, and who had a small Bull Shark have a nip at her leg. Her pal pulled her out but she still has a few scars and a story to tell her children now that she will be around to have them!

Cheers
