The back up officer wasn't much good, I don't get why when he had her pinned why he didn't lay a beating on her?

But then again it would be a good cop like that to throw 1 punch and get dismissed for it.

Jury nullification, here in GA she would be doing 15/7.

No shit. I watched it and honestly have no idea how that verdict was reached. Trying to scare someone with a weapon is pretty much the definition of Agg Assault

Wow, if she was "under arrest" why was she walking around the police station?

Good question and there has to be more to this case.

Probably just the LEO being nice. Male cops underestimating female nastiness is common, especially in petty, non-violent arrests.

The jury is the most powerful entity in a courtroom. They have, can and do things that make sense...and things that make absolutely no sense.

He should have beat the hell out of her...

Amen...I can usually rationalize a verdict, this one I cannot. It's at least an Agg. Batt. LEO

1. The prisoner should have been searched
2. The prisoner should be cuffed, and or in a holding cell
3. The female backup officier should be fired.

If 1 and 2 had been followed this incident would never have happened.

Glad the cop was o.k. and all involved learned a lesson....Follow The Book.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how a jury found her not guilty. What could the defense possibly argue? I know it says she was trying to scare him but WTF. Some really dumb people on that jury. Even the most basic jury instructions would dictate a guilty on Agg Assault LEO. Good job by the attacked Officer, got control and kept it. Did the female backup Officer run AWAY??????
