My wife just bought this boat for 7500 dollars. I think it is a 1973 chris craft express 30 and has 2 engines but not sure. Would appreciate and information, specs, manuals, or anything that would help me out.

You are correct, I can't 100% confirm the year but judging by the angled back side windows it's early to mid 70s. As far as brochures, hit the Chris craft commander club website and do some digging there. I believe these boats had hollow glass stringers.

Your wife bought a boat and you don't know anything about it?
I got a bridge for sale!

Yeah she is a keeper lol how do i get my wife to buy at will lol this is why every boat should be white with some elbow grease that thing will shine like new, slap a american flag on the back and you have a very nice instant classic.

I will buy the trailer from you...

NCummins 06-11-2014 03:12 PM

Can't help with the boat but if it came with the trailer your wife didn't buy it, she stole it!

That's about right, my dad had a 1973 Catalina 25, very similar.

281 Catalina if it has 2 engines, probably 305's, if its a single engine they call it a 280. Check the stringer under the dinette, easy fix but they have a tendency of breaking there.

wetsu82 06-12-2014 07:21 AM

I know what it is, I don't know if it's a commander, lancer, not title. (Alabama) Registration just says chris craft and a number....thats for the smart ass and my wife bought it for her not me!
