Well the lack of police in the picture leads me to believe it's not because you were street racing.

Filled it yesterday afternoon.....wonder-bad gas?
God does have a sense of humor though. My VW salesman called this morning and just as he was asking me how my experience with the new car had been he says -
"there's a red 'R' being brought in on a flatbed now that looks just like yours......."

That's a shame, hope it's something minor. As a fellow car guy I feel your pain !

Co-worker had one, loved it, but couldn't keep it out of the shop. He's in a G-37 now.

Waiting to hear from the VW service dept although by now it's likely not going to be till next week. Will crank but seems like it's not getting fuel. I hope it's not an omen for future ownership....gotta get a rental now for next week.

Hey a shot of "seafoam" and you are all set ...

I had an independent VW shop up until 1986 ...

Will be interesting to see what it is ... Probably Some Liberal / Safety Nazi interlock :-(

worked at a VW shop years ago just when the "rabbit" was first popular....local folks picked up new ride, got exactly one mile away...went up in smoke, they were lucky to get out of it....totally burnt to a crisp...sucks about your new ride...VW's are great driving cars, not so with reliability...
