Default Franchi Affinity

Anyone have the Franchi Affinity 20 gauge? Looking to get one for one of my sons an curious if anyone here has a review.

On a side note, Tireless, if you want to sell that Browning A5 20 gauge I would be willing to negotiate!

I have a 12. Awesome trouble free gun. Shoots low brass no problem and cycles 3-1/2 just fine also.

Thanks, not much out there to choose from on an semi auto 20 gauge. I wish Beretta made the A300 in a 20. The Franchi looks like a decent gun though. I bought a mossberg 20 semi auto for my other son but it doesn't cycle the larger shells very well. It does fine with light loads though.

Not to derail, just expand the search. I have a Remington 1100 LT 20 that is at least 30 years old. I bought a Fajen stock and a youth (23") barrel for it. Cut the Fajen done so it for our slight 10 year-old son. As he grew, I added a recoil pad to the Fajen, then to the factory stock, and the factory stock with a recoil pad that I shoot. It has been very reliable, and has very light recoil. I sent the 23" barrel off to have Briley chokes installed, so it can be shot with any choke in the short barrel, or Improved Cylinder in the 26" barrel. I believe a 20-gauge gas semi-auto is the perfect beginners gun. Very light recoil, and it stays open when empty. I have loaned it out to countless families over the years, and I love to see kids enjoy learning how to shoot with it. I shot doves with it opening day in 2013, and killed my 15-bird limit out of a box. Lucky for sure, and the birds were really dumb, I guess, but it is a shooter.

It's funny you said that now....on Friday I purchased various 20 gauge loads to run through the gun for the first time this coming week. I will let you know if the experience sucked.
