Dog Collar Suggestions

Filson makes a nice one. I like their stuff and they stand behind it. My guys wear nylon collars because they swim a a fair amount. If they didn't I'd have the filson leather collar.
Coach makes gorgeous collars still and they still have the same nice leather used twenty years ago before it got trendy.
Orvis has the "shot shell collar" which has been their standby forever.
All three companies listed stand behind their products 100% and are a pleasure to deal with.

If you want a really nice collar check this guy out. I got a custom one made for my dog about 7 years ago. Make sure the dog is done growing, mine grew out of his pretty quickly. The matching leash is still in great shape though.

Leather looks great but smells quickly. We get collars for our dogs through a lady that makes them for hunt clubs that are plastic coated strapping or something with riveted brass tags stamped for under 7 each if you order at least a dozen. Neon green on duke and neon pink for Rio our girl. Not the fanciest collars but strong, stay clean an hold no odor. Have neighbors hooked on them so easy to hit her minimum order. Nice looking boxer!

My dog has a Mascot collar. They are a braided nylon material in a sailors not (Blue with a yellow bone shaped buckle). She was a water dog but age as really slowed her down (14 y/o yellow lab).
I have had the collar for probably 10 years. You can't destroy it.

The Hunter (http://hunter.de/en/our-collection/u...16261/Dog.html) line of product is the nicest i have seen and sold.
They are lifetime collars...they last a dogs lifetime, and in 2 clients cases, 2 dogs.
Little pricey but amazing quality..
I like these of theirs the best
http://hunter.de/en/our-collection/u...2Bleather.html
But they make a ton of nice ones.
For more standard, but very nice, Mendota Collars (http://www.mendotaproducts.com/) will last years and years, and the price is great. We sell them, too. And they dont seem to stink. Made for hunting dogs.
If you like any of those, shoot me PM, i'll get you a better price than regular retail. But Ebay might be cheaper still...lol
In truth, there is not a better quality, feel and look than the Hunters...they are amazing. If you want to really spoil the pup, get one in Elk Skin...its like velvet, but leather tough.

Net, it's a dog. Just go to pet smart and pick one out. You don't need him making fashion statements

My boxer was fawn and we had a hunter orange collar on him for many years. It started with a hunting season and the wife just liked it. The fact that he was too retarded to not stand in the driveway with traffic only helped.

It's been 3 months since we had to put him down from seizures and it's still not any easier.
Still have every collar we bought plus his dog tags and most every puppy tooth. I'm sure there is still dog crap in the yard somewhere.

You never said if it was a going out collar, for a special occasion or everyday wear.
I suggest hiring a designer to create a custom one of a kind collar for your doggie. Incorporate many precious materials such as gold and diamonds to make your furry baby stand out. And remember you can never have enough collars for your precious.
Do tell us what you wind up buying with a pic of the collar on your dog we just have to see it!
