Default Florida Sportsman Magazine

Are any of you disappointed with this magazine? It seems like each issue gets smaller and smaller. I have issues from 2004 through 2006 which are three times thicker with tons of more articles than the current issues. The price has also gone up; and as a matter of principle, I will not be renewing this year.

General decline of printed literature. Soon they will all be gone just like the Washington Post and the NY Times (fingers crossed)

I still subscribe, but added Florida Sport Fishing to my subscriptions to supplement it. You're right though, FS is getting thinner.

The only thing shittier than their magazine is their forum. Both are a shell of their former selves.

Indeed. Political correctness has taken a fearful toll.

Print media is giving way to the internet and it's not going to change. We'll just have to get used to it.

There are a couple of moderators for their forum that are out right liars. I refuse to even click on their site any more.

FS used to be the go to mag for FL fishing. Between selling out to a consolidated outdoors corporation, a forum polluted with moderator-backed trolls who sabotage any slur against CCA (as they sell recreational fishermen down the river), and a magazine that's more of a pamphlet and just regurgitates the same BS year after year, I gave up on them years ago.

The magazine just is pitiful a shell of what it once was.

And a $5.95 cover price at the store! About $.25 per page with crappy articles. I grew up reading FS and have also cancelled my subscription.

FS is circling the drain.

Florida Sportfishing is meaty and worth the purchase price. Good magazine.

Florida Sportfishing for me. At least it still has some thickness & to tell you the truth I like all the ads.
