Default Winter Storm Reports Outta Control?

Is it that bad or are we victims of the interthing (i.e., too much info)?

Lots of panicky news and weather guys/girls everywhere.

We are def a victim of media hyping everything up. We all do it.. which is why I refuse to be baited into convos like this with my friends anymore.

I simply say "yup gonna snow, yes I'll go for a drive in whatever it is.. no I didn't go get bread and milk"

Remember when the weather portion of the local news was on for only the last 3 minutes of the program?

I just watched the 6pm news on NBC10 in Philly. Dam, they spent the entire half our on the storm. They had 4 reporters live on the street. All of the idiots outside kicking around snow. One reporter talking to PennDot asking them how they are going to handle it. What a freaking joke

It has been snowing horizontally throughout the day here. We have 3 to 4 foot high drifts on our drive and deck. Driving conditions are terrible.

Over rated..............not here.

After watching these yahoos show me what it's like at various places around Philly, CBS local went to a sidewalk reporter at affiliate in CHICAGO so he could show me six inches of snow on the sidewalk there. Why would I give a fart?!

Yup, weather news overload. And the storm names now? Wtf is that? Hercules?

When did they start naming winter storms? What are the criteria to get a name?
