Looks good I've made my own beer and wine. Cleanliness is key even if it is clean wash it before use. Also get ready to make a mess while bottling.

It was very popular in Jolly Old England - many a bar was called Mead Hall. BUT the oldest know beer was brewed by the ancient Egyptians in 5000 BC and from Barley - not honey as the link states.

All I can say about Mead is be careful..................HANGOVER CITY!

Mead is so loaded with sugar that a hangover is a given. Made it once and that was enough.

One of my friends is a beekeeper and made a batch a couple of years ago, not bad but needed a little improvement. I missed the opportunity last year but plan on getting a few bee hives myself this year so I may be trying to make mead in the future.

We have excellent honey here, there are several vendors at our local farmers market, I am going to try different kinds and see how they turn out. There is a honey store on River Street under the Hyatt that has like a bazillion types of honey, I never knew honey could be so diverse!
