Default Target Hacked - 40 million credit cards

Just heard on the radio this morning Target got hacked and information on around 40 million credit cards could have been obtained. These credit cards were for transactions from Black Friday until now. Just a heads up if anyone used a card on these dates. Probably only applies to the admirals but better to keep an eye out if you did.

This kind of thing is the reason that I refuse to have a "debit" card. Credit cards are relatively safe from the standpoint that, you are not responsible for charges that aren't yours, you're not physically out any money, and there's little, if any personal information on the credit card account. Jus close the card, and get a new one with a new number.
Whereas with a debit card, the money comes out of your bank account right away, and worse, your banking information can be compromised, possibly letting someone access your account............If they're linked, multiple accounts.

Good thing I haven't done any shopping at target recently! Thanks for sharing.

My thoughts exactly.

Every time one of these "horror" stories comes out about credit card theft, I am thankful I'm smart enough to use credit cards wisely and not debit cards.
