Default Motley Fool stock recommendation, BWP

I am about to buy 200 shares of Boardwalk Pipeline Partners (ticket BWP). The Motley Fool rated it as a good buy and I have an order in to buy and just need to hit BUY to own 200 shares.

I predicted MPC would go over $90/share and I would like to buy more but I think it's going to start to go down again. I'm thinking down into the 70's in the next 60 - 90 days.

Any opinions from you stock experts on BWP? Any info would be appreciated.

Both say don't go near it yet. I never cared for anything Motley Fool but , sending out a letter to a million people could have a effect on a stocks performance. Some fool will listen to them.

when did they say to buy it? 2 months ago lol

MPC will blow past 90 in the next 3 months.

Oil has been out of favor for the obvious reason but it'll pick up

Talk about 2 totally different opinions. I just read the article today when it popped up when I was looking for stock info. I didn't notice what the date was, I just assumed it was very recent info.

The Tisch brothers own 1/2 of it. You would be in good company. I don't know their cost basis.

That industry isn't going to shut down so its almost like something you can't miss on over time. Nice Dividend and a long term prospect of the USA becoming the largest producer of petroleum in the world helps support that argument. whether it takes a couple years to get back to a break even point is possible. Then there is always buyouts that could pop the stock price. Hurricanes ,,platform fires. ship highjackings...They have used wars..potential wars...to hot to cold, There has been at least a half dozen leaders that have been used to pump up oil..Nukes, weapons of mass destruction...Chemical warfare. False supply and demand innuendo. You name it, they've used it to jack up oil prices and the transportation of it.

by the way, dates are real important when reading company data and projections etc. Day old prs are old news.

If you look at all the experts, they ratings and recommendations as recently as 12/17 is reduce/avoid/hold/underperform - probably not something I would buy, but I wouldn't get too hung up on 200 shares, which is less than a $5,000 investment. Also, it is trading at the bottom of its 52 week range, which considering the market is up 20% this year, that isn't very good. That being said an 8% dividend is very, very good - hope they don't reduce or suspend.
