Default Mike Tyson

Got home late from a delayed flight last week and caught his special on HBO.

I never expected it but Iron Mike is really a funny guy. I was cracking up, he even made fun of himself.

I personally felt that even we he covered the bad things in his life (prison for rape, supposed abuse of Robin Givens) he was candid and accountable.

I actually liked it. Anyone else see it?

Cus D'Amato's death and Robin Givens seriously screwed him up. The "rape" and prison time probably put him over the edge. He is pretty damn funny nowadays

He did a commercial with Evander Holyfield where he gives EH his ear back for xmas. Mike stated he kept it in formaldehyde for him.

He had a reality on show where he was raising racing pigeons, it was pretty interesting.

It seems he has gotten professional help and is trying to redeem himself. I think he has made some serious changes in his life and is being honest.

I saw it and loved it, I watched it twice actually. One thing to add to the details mentioned above like funny and candid, is that he can still move, he still has lethal hands! I am glad for Mike, he seems to have found peace in his life. The show was a great watch!

Used to despise him now I really like him...seems like a real stand-up guy. Hopefully he is telling the truth.

What he did was deprive a generation of boxing fans of what could have been.

Mike is only as good as the people handling him.

Yea Mike is a real stand-up guy.

He's dumber than a box of rocks, is a sociopath, and likely suffers from several other mental disorders.

That said, I enjoyed watching him fight early in his carreer and I thought the HBO special was pretty good.

Heard him on Howard Stern a couple months ago promoting his new book and 1 man show. He was really funny and intellegent. His stories about his life are hysterical and shocking. Life of people taking advantage of him at every chance. Made me root for him.

X2..

When he said "My kids are at the age where they are starting to ask questions. I wish I had better answers for them. Really, I wish I had better answers for myself.."

That made me think he is a different guy now.

We are talking about a convicted rapist and wife beater.....
I can forgive some things but not those.

I liked the show - and have always liked Mike... tried to take him for what he was, an animal from the streets. People always took advantage of him, and I still think they are. The show was very coached - he was taught how to speak & act to make him more marketable...

The man pulling the puppet strings now is Spike Lee. Lets hope its on the up and up.

Best story from the show - when he caught the now famous pretty blond man driving his car with his soon to be ex wife in the passenger seat.
