5-6 years ago I went hunting up in Ontario, Sioux Narrows area to be exact. Owner of the house we were stayiong at asked if i wanted to feed his pet deer. Sure I thought, great photo op. Dude whistles and out walked a 190-195 12 pt, a good 275-300lbs, choclate horns, just a perfect buck. Here i am feeding this deer cheese crackers and corn after freezing my ass off for a week on the hydrolines.

There is also a taxidermist where i used to live that raised orphaned fawns. Only time you couldnt pet then was rut time. If they grow up with people they lose that fear pretty quickly.

Damn quickly. I've seen a few and all were the same story. The doe gets hit by a car and someone tries to save bambi. Bambi of course imprints on the human and their as docile as dogs after that.

Do you think the deer could be deaf? I mean, that fawn didn't even flinch.

My Kids put out Corn for them in the Backyard,an I had to stop the Truck this morning while 7 crossed the street into my yard.We do enjoy watching them,an they don't seem to mind as long as the Corn is available.
