Default Waste of money/POS item?

So we always hear about the good toys you bought and fun things that you love. What's the thing that you bought or was given that you think was a complete waste of money or a POS? Either you never use it, or it broke as soon as you picked it up, etc.

Careful with your response. I.e. Boat is a lot of money but not a waste.

Mine: It's not the worst, but it happened recently and still annoys me. Bought a nice pair of $100 leather loafers. Ripped a hole in the toe after it's 5th use because I kicked the curb. That's pretty uncool.

Flexible hose sold on TV. Picked one up at Walgreens for my boat and it lasted exactly 30 seconds before exploding and soaking my buddies that were cleaning the boat after fishing all day. At least it was funny as hell - making the $20 wasted a little easier to swallow.

Flexible hose sold on TV.
same thing happened here. But the shorter blue one works good for a washdown on the boat.

Goof-off gel. Couldn't remove a fake tattoo tramp stamp from a teenage girl's butt! Absolutely worthless!

However, the true solvent-based Goof-off always seems to work like a charm.

Maybe you didn't rub hard/long enough. I think were going to need some pictures before we condemn the goof-off gel to the ranks of a rip off product.

About 7 years ago my friend got duped on the "car baby" which would transmit your cell phone conversation to your car radio like a blue tooth system does. All you had to do was put it on a certain radio station and connect it to your cell phone and it was suppose to work through your radio and speakers. It never worked and we laugh about it to this day mostly because it was purchased at a kiosk in the mall that would not give refunds only exchanges!!!!!!!

Has to be the three 18quart roaster ovens I bought off Ebay. One for me and two for family members. Mine lasted the longest. Twice !!

Thought I was going to get some use out of it when I did my first collard cook of the year. I do 20 pounds at a time and have discovered that collards are easier to chop when chilled. Plus after the Miller Lite it takes to cook the ham, clean the collards then cook the collards, I am not sure I trust mysefl with a serrated collard chopper.

I was looking for a container for that many collards when I noticed the roaster oven sitting on the garage floor. The liner would be perfect. Unfortunately a mouse had camped in the liner. No problem, I took it outside and hit it with the water hose. Then washed with three times the normal amount of Dawn.

Put it in the dishwasher by itself and washed on "pot & pan" setting. Let dry and placed in a 400* oven for one hour. Let it cool, then put it in the trash. I just could not serve my friends and family out of a container that a mouse lived in.

Oh, after all that, I got the insert out of the Nesco I bought to replace the POS.

A Sony 50" projection TV that I got years ago. In the store it looked awesome. In our living room that has many windows, it got washed out by the sun. The left channel speaker didn't work from day one. Got used to the lousy picture over a decade or so, but I was glad to give it away to our church youth program.

I didn't return it or get it repaired because we bought it at a store in Illinois, and we live on a island in Wisconsin about 250 miles away. I talked with them on the phone and they were willing to have us bring it back, but that meant without being with anything for weeks, and the trip back and forth.

Typing this just reminded me how much that TV stunk.

Any HD over the air antenna, except for proper roof mounted ones.

Sony TVs suck. I wasted my money on two of them.
