Default How many trips to HD & Lowes for one move in?

I don't rant often, and never about myself...
Settling in to our new home.. In the last 8 days, I bet so far I've been to Lowes and Home Depot 25 times... Maybe more. At least 3 times a day. I don't know what I could've done different to avoid it either, thankfully they are less than 5 miles away..

Any project I do averages about two ace trips. I know the feel.

At least I'm getting somewhere... One of the projects almost complete... Determined to just once have a garage just for my cars and nothing on the floor, also have a 12x24 shed to bury stuff (and park the scooters).... Kudos to BillinStuart for the recycled cabinets & top, they hold an amazing amount of stuff..

I have made so many trips to both H.D. & Lowes, that I was telling other customers where to find stuff, when the store employee wasn't sure.

Seriously, they offered me a job to work there.
Which I didn't take.

I made so many trips to HD that they hired me. They figured I already knew where everything in the store was so how could they go wrong.

When doing a project now, I buy it if I even think I may need it.
Keep the receipt where I can find it for all the returns when finished.

I keep a running list of "to buy" on my phone, I'm at HD/Lowes three times a week. Moved in to my new place two weeks ago.

I built the garage first but the house was in progress.

Screw the HOA.

My Lowes Card. Keeps track of everything you have bought from them. Makes returns super easy. It's not a credit card, just a tracking card. No receipts needed.

when we bought our house 2 months ago we worked on it for a month before we moved in. Probably 20 trips in the last 2 months. Every receipt I get is about 3 feet long and I bet I have a hundred yards worth of receipts.

Sounds good Bill, but it has been 9 days since we settled, and I had 5 people working for the first 3 or 4 days. So unfortunately the garage wasn't first, Admiral rules. Actually finally winding down, it's been a 2 month ordeal. Moving out of three houses into one. Amazing amount of duplicate and triplicate stuff..

Mike,
Did you wind up with the house that Tim and Sandy were selling down the street from me?

Goes with home ownership. If you can't stand it, rent.....
