Default Lithium Batteries from China WTF ???

I have an E-Bay seller in China trying to ship me a battery for my camera but says Customs keeps sending it back ...

I have heard this BS before ... How can I get my battery ?

I threatened Negative feedback if he does not use Fed-Ex ...he has 2 days ...

Regulations about shipping lithium batteries have changed. Almost considered hazmat. Check the UPS website.

In all honesty, be very careful with the cheap batteries from China. A few years ago, I ordered a cheap Chinese battery for my phone. The first one I received did not work. The replacemnet they sent me was installed and immediately the phone got real hot. The battery started to smoke and slightly melted, before I could get it out. Never again for me.

Sure it is. There's lots of fakes of all sorts of electronic stuff coming out of China. Some are very good fakes. If I were you, I'd cancel that order and look at a reputable seller.

Not trying to promote a particular business but sterlingteck.com is a great place to buy camera batteries. I've bought batteries from them for years and have had zero issues. Pretty popular amongst the serious hobby/semi-pro photography crowd.

Oops! That should have been sterlingtek, without a c.

BTW, Nikon has started chipping their batteries. Many non-OEM batteries will not work on the newer equipment.

And there are a lot of fake OEM batteries, especially on ebay. I just went thru this an EN EL 14.

d3100

37 bucks for the battery, includes tax/shipping from Adorama in New York. They are a huge camera supply house. I have used them many times.

The D3100 is an amazing "Sweet Spot" I am reluctantly selling one this weekend , Basically new in the box ...

It produces Stunning Crisp images from a lightweight easy to handle package :-)

The D600 that weighs 3 times as much and costs 4 times as much NOT SO MUCH :-( !!!

They make an inexpensive grip for those that holds 2 batteries or I think AA's
