Default Who is feeding the horribly obese people?

Couldn't sleep tonight so I got up and watched a little television. There was a show on about a man that weighs 600 pounds, he had not gotten out of his bed for a long time. It got me thinking if this guy can't get out of his bed who in the hell is feeding him? He can't get out of bed, he can't go to the store to buy anything, seems like it would be pretty easy to make him lose weight by not feeding him. I don't even want to know what's involved with his other bodily functions.

How could someone see a person so miserable yet keep feeding him? That seems to me to be some sort of abuse.

Does this parallel to 'too lazy to get up to get another beer - require delivery'?

Who's feeding him? Most likely our tax dollars along with his health care, housing etc.

It's a good question, because we all know you get to 600+ pounds one single pound at a time. When does the red flag go up and someone realize there's a problem? The people bringing the food are criminals. Very sad people get to that weight, no excuse for it.

They had to cut the wall out of his bedroom to get him out. I agree it didn't happen overnight so why would someone keep feeding him. It could be a mother but you would think his life is more important than the guilt she may feel.

What blows my mind is the fact they are on disability because they chose to eat so much. Granted most have issues but hunger is a hell of a motivator to help them get over it.

Don't get me started on the 450lbs cows with handicap parking passes.

No kidding. That should be considered child abuse.

What I don't understand is how these morbidly obese non-working people can even afford the amount of food it must take to weigh 600lbs.

Can you imagine the monthly food bill for that 1 person ?? Must be a grand a month, easy.

I love the bumper sticker, I hunt with my kids not for them.

I do not even hunt, but for me it is fishing and the outdoors.

It has to start early to get them off the dam video games and get them outside fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, sports.

I took my dad to dinner the other night in Lahaina.
There was a very well fed couple there, each with a loaf of white bread.
They ate a loaf each during their dinner.
I have never in my life seen anything like it.

There's a ton of bad parents out there. That's how I was able to get booze and ciggs (quit smoking years ago). I'm sure parents like that would still feed their kids McDonalds if try were 600 pounds. There are also parents who's idea of going out to eat is to an all you can eat buffet, you see tons of fat kids in those joints. Some people also have food addictions like people smoke cigarettes. They know it will eventually kill them but they can't quit the habit.

I just had to look this up. This might be the story you read.

http://www.wtae.com/news/local/alleg...i/-/index.html

"The 55-year-old former construction worker ate two-foot long submarine sandwiches and an entire large pizza all by himself every week for years."

I am guessing they mean daily. I could make that lunch and supper for a 5 day work week.

I think after a certain point it just becomes mental, kinda like they just throw in the towel.

Sad story.
