Default I Need a Logo

I think I am in need of a logo. Something that will be recognizable, let people know what I do, yet be simple enough for embroidery, stickers, etc. I'm looking for ideas on what to do. I pretty much have no idea where to start. I am open to any suggestions and ideas from the creative minds of THT. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks in advance.

My recommendation is to contact Phoenix Graphics in Winterhaven Florida. Speak with Bonnie Liss. she did a fantastic job for me. Reference Greer Mechanical.

Thanks, I'll look into it. Anyone else have any design ideas? I would like to maybe have a general idea on what I'm looking for before I meet with a designer. Might help streamline the process

I used a website called designcontest.com a few years back. You submit a fee and designers compete for you to choose their design. You give input as they submit entries. You also steer the designs with your ideas of what you would like. They can do more than just logos as well. It (the contest) is facilitated in a forum type environment and you are also able to see other designs that are submitted to other contests, at least the last time I checked.

I was happy with mine. My initial design was based with a black color and a year later I emailed the guy who did my design and paid him a small fee to change the color palette of my logo.

Look at a website called Crowdspring.com. You tell them what kind of company and how much you are willing to pay and you will get multiple artist give you a logo. You pay for the one you want. They will tweak it until you are happy. I used them for my logo and loved it.

Use the "shocker"symbol. The kids will dig it and EVERYONE will remember it!

Just went through this. You should try and get some ideas of where you want to go before hiring someone IMO.
How about something simple like a basic boat transom with your company name as the boats name across it.

Steal the one from the Florida, Marine Patrol. You have the same initials.

Ive used a site called logotournamet, in my opinion it works great, you get 100's of designs from designers all over the world, you choose a prize amount you are willing to give to the winner.
