Default Pump out

Hello there im new to the boating world.I have made a purchase of a 63fter and would like to know more about dumping her hold while at sea on long trips

based on the other post its a house boat, so he won't be out to sea. You can't dump your shitter in the river so you go to a marina with a pump out station. Depending on your holding tank you will need to plan your poops accordingly

To answer the OP's question, I believe it is permissible to pump out holding tanks in the ocean beyond a certain distance from shore, not sure how many miles that is, perhaps one of our other posters knows the exact regulations.

Just checked......3 miles off coastal US. In a houseboat that's quite a ride. There are also onboard treatment option that allow discharge closer inland.

Thanks to some of you and the rest can bail water,Im hoping to get some good info here while i set here in the mountains of Afghanistan. Stand tall for America i do.
