Default Wii disc repair

Has anyone sent game discs out to be re-ground? Was it successful and who did you use?

We have one of those Disk Doctors, it's saved quite a few disks.

PlastX from Meguiar's. Put a nickel-sized dollop on a microfiber and work into the scratched surface until the compound disappears. Repeat a couple times. If you can feel the scratch with your fingernail, you will have a very hard time recovering, but for everything else, this is worth a shot. Works well on headlights, lexan / plexiglass boat windshields, etc.

I just bought a skipDr on Amazon. I've tried all of the "internet" remedies and they don't work. I'll post how it goes when I receive it.

Microsoft will replace a damaged software disk for a nominal fee, I.E. Windows, Office.

They might do it for the games as well?

Nintendo will* if they are Nintendo games within 90 days...not 3rd party games for Wii.

*If the game is published by Nintendo and it was purchased more than 90 days ago, or you do not have a proof of purchase, we cannot offer a warranty repair. (This also includes games that were purchased used or that are physically damaged.) We recommend purchasing a replacement copy of the game at a retailer.

They are Nintendo branded games, more than 90 days old, no receipt. My kids !@#$ed them up so I don't want a freebee. BUT, they should be able to be copied easily for backing up.

I can't because it is technically illegal (grey area).

Google will help you out though.
