Default American express blue sky credit card

Got a mailer on it. no annual fee.
I have airline miles credit cards now.
this card , I guess likle capital one, lets you spend points as cash for travel.
they say
earn one point for every dollar you spend.
every 7500 points is worth $100 statement credit against travel expenses.
How do you determine if this is good vs the say delta aa or usair miles cards?

fidelity investment rewards card is the best out right now if you have a fidelity brokerage account. 2% cash back on everything.
In your scenario above you have to spend $7500 to get $100 that can only be used on travel. Using the Fidelity card you get $150 that you can spend on anything.

Amex blue cash preferred my personal favorite.

$75 annual fee
6% cash back all grocery stores
3% cash back all gas stations
1% everything else

If I buy $600 in groceries and $400 in gas every month, along with $500 of assorted nonsense, i get $53 back. Do it for four months running and you have $212, thats more than both the previous cards with less cash outlay. Granted you "paid" $18.75 out of the annual fee for that period, so your net gain is closer to $190, but you get the idea.

I think it can only be used to pay down your statement but I'm cool with that.

Free version is 3/2/1%. I looked long and hard for the best cash card before settling on this one. I can't stand nor will I login to get some different location every month or two like some of the cash cards. Keep it simple, Use it for gas and groceries, and watch the dollars add up.
